Freedom Waters Foundation
Organization Overview
Freedom Waters Foundation is a 501C3 - non profit organization with the following mission: Enhancing the lives children, individuals with special needs and veterans by providing therapeutic boat experiences.
We do this with the use of all private and commercial vessels that partner with us and donate their time and use of their vessels. We have just three full time employees and one part time, over 300 volunteers in a year and have provided over 3500 on the water experiences in a given year. We are growing and expanding to more nationwide.
Our home office is in Naples and on the west coast of Florida, we serve those from Marco Island up through Ft. Myers, Cape Coral and even a few boat trips in Clearwater.
We serve many individuals with also partnering with numerous social service agencies and hospitals in the community, i.e. special olympics, starability, Lee Health Children's hospital, Cancer Alliance of Naples, Youth Haven, Juvenile Diabetes Research kids, LIghthouse for the Blind, the Vets Center, the VA, and many many more.
Those agencies either come as a group or refer their clients to us, so that we can provide a nice, relaxing day on the water that has a natural therapeutic effect.
We also build a greater sense of community by bringing those who may not otherwise meet, building a greater sense of community, understanding and tolerance for individual uniqueness.
