Florida Trusted Data Sharing Organization
Organization Overview
The Florida Trusted Data Sharing Organization (Florida TDSO) is a new Florida non-profit organization focused on helping individuals and families digitally prosper. Digital Prosperity is the condition achieved when individuals and families can fully utilize their digital assets to maximize personal, social, health, and economic well-being. In an increasingly digital and AI dominated world, personal and family well-being and success relies on the ability to extract the full value from critical digital assets, such as household, financial, medical, and legal information. Our goal is to provide individuals and families with the tools and knowledge to ensure their "digital house" is in order, creating a foundation for long-term prosperity and ensuring appropriate data sovereignty.
In addition to promoting digital prosperity, the Florida TDSO also ensures alignment with data sovereignty requirements, privacy laws, and the specific needs of the communities in Florida. Data sovereignty refers to the principle that data is subject to the laws and governance of the jurisdiction where it is collected or stored. In other words, the handling of personal data must comply with the legal requirements of the country (or state) in which that data resides. In the United States, those powers not reserved for the federal government, belong to the state, and those not held by the states belong to the individual.
Our Vision: Everyone in Florida Can Digitally Prosper
Mission: Advance Data Sovereignty and Digital Prosperity for the People in Florida
Purpose: Data as a Catalyst for Well-being and Prosperity
