Connections from Leadership SWFL sustained through Hurricane Ian

By: Tiffany Esposito, MBA, CCE, IOM, APR, President & CEO, SWFL Inc.

Since the launch of Leadership SWFL in 1999, SWFL Inc. has had the pleasure of transforming nearly 500 local leaders' lives by connecting area professionals and providing them with a better understanding of how the region works. Even better, the program educates them on how they can get more engaged and make a bigger difference in the area.

But don’t just take my word for it. Here’s what Leadership SWFL Class of 2022 participant Amanda Condomina, Public Utilities and Operations Manager with the Lee County Solid Waste Department, had to say about the program.

“I am so grateful for the Leadership SWFL program. Being a part of the 2022 class allowed me to build a bond with other professionals in Southwest Florida. Having familiar faces working alongside me after Hurricane Ian was reassuring,” said Amanda.

She continued, “We were able to rely on each other and our professional connections across different agencies to best serve the residents of Lee County and begin restoring normalcy and helping them start to recover. I will forever be thankful for Leadership SWFL and the friendships it allowed me to make.”

If you or a professional you know is looking to deepen their understanding of the components that make up this region and emerge a stronger leader, just like Emily did, consider applying to Leadership SWFL. Applications are open for the Class of 2023 and are due by Saturday, April 1, 2023, and are available online at www.swflinc.com/leadership-swfl-2023. Limited spots are available in the program, so applications are encouraged sooner rather than later.

The program includes nine day-long sessions and an overnight retreat between May and December. Each session provides attendees with an in-depth look at a different aspect of Southwest Florida, from infrastructure to tourism, and more. Graduates will build essential relationships and foster a better understanding of the inner workings of Lee, Collier and Charlotte Counties.
