SWFL Inc. Announces State of the Region 2026, Bringing Southwest Florida Leaders Together to Examine the Issues Shaping the Region

ESTERO, Fla. — August 14, 2026 — SWFL Inc. will host State of the Region 2026 on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, bringing together business leaders, community stakeholders, elected officials and regional experts for a timely discussion of the economic, workforce, population and policy issues shaping Southwest Florida.

The event will take place from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point and is designed to help attendees better understand the forces affecting the region and identify opportunities to make a meaningful impact on Southwest Florida's future.

“State of the Region is an opportunity to move beyond headlines and take a closer look at the issues that matter most to our businesses, workforce and communities,” said Tiffany Esposito, CEO of SWFL Inc. “By bringing experts and community leaders together, we can better understand the challenges ahead and have informed conversations about the future of Southwest Florida.”

A Closer Look at Southwest Florida's Future

State of the Region 2026 will feature speakers, panelists and experts from across Florida addressing several critical topics, including:

  • State of Our Region: An examination of the economic, workforce, population and business trends shaping Southwest Florida.
  • Let's Talk Property Tax: A discussion of the property tax relief bill headed to the ballot and what potential changes could mean for residents, businesses and communities throughout the region.
  • Debunking Data Centers: A fact-based conversation examining data centers, separating misconceptions from realities and exploring their potential impact on Southwest Florida.

The event will feature Commissioner McDaniel of Collier County District 5 and Jenna Buzzacco-Foerster of Gravina, Smith, Matte & Arnold Marketing and Public Relations, along with additional speakers and panelists.
